Sales to Profit Metrics
The Daily Sales module is the analysis "command center" for your LSM activities. The nice feature about this module is that it not only tracks your historical sales metrics, but also compiles a breakdown of each promotional sale that occurred, showing:
- which coupon or promotion code was redeemed
- which plan was associated with the coupon or promotional code
- the total dollar promotional amount that was redeemed
- the total number of products sold for the coupon or promotional code
- and the total amount of sales that was generated by the plan for that coupon or promotional code
Based on the LSM sales that occurs each day, the system tabulates the LSM redemption activities and produces the total promotional dollar amount and the total generated sales amount. This visibility and insight into your overall sales can be viewed into two calculations:
- Net sales is really your Gross Sales minus sales tax minus total promotional dollar amount
- Net sales is also your regular menu sales plus your LSM generated sales.
The Daily Sales module breaks down your net sales into LSM generated sales dollars and regular menu sales dollars creating the ability to truly analyze the direct benefits from your LSM Plan efforts. We can analyze sales trends by LSM plan, not only by the number of promotional items sold, but also by generated sales.
The module captures sales, tax, promo, food, labor, semi-variable and fixed expenses as well as tracks profit, guest check count/average and day/night part sales to add meaningful reporting as LSM plans are implemented.
