Hotel Desk

Speak to Hotel Manager, or to the Sales Director, about the Front Desk Suggestion Program. Guests that are looking for pizza delivery will usually call the front desk first, before looking in the yellow pages, or any advertisements in the hotel directory. You want the front desk clerk to recommend your store for delivery. Motivate the clerks by giving them an incentive to enjoy a free pizza! Simply design a sign-in sheet to allow your delivery drivers to acknowledge a hotel delivery. Each time a delivery is made to the hotel, another signature is added to the sign-in sheet. After 6, 8, or 10 signatures, allow the hotel to submit the sign-in sheet as the actual coupon, and let them redeem it for a pizza.


Hotel Rooms

There are several possibilities for the guest rooms, but determine your LSM budget and contact your Marketing person at the District/Market Level.

  • Table tents are a great addition to rooms. They standout to guests as they settle in to the room. Some hotel programs, on the District level, prorate a percentage of sales back to the hotel to pay for the upkeep of the table tents.
  • Some hotels have telephone systems that allow them to program "hot" keys into the telephone options. This is great if your store's phone number is the hot key for "pizza delivery".
  • Another tool to generate sales is to door hang coupons under the room doors, and make sure that there is an ample supply of coupons in the hotel lobby.

Contact the Sales Director for activities and events scheduled in these rooms: conferences, meetings, training sessions.


Other Contests

Put together a get-away-weekend contest: The winner receives an overnight stay in the luxury suite with whirlpool, free pizza, and other special amenities. The hotel purchases the pizzas from your store, at discounted price, and then coordinates the order with guest.
